What we offer

ShanghaiNanny is an independent advisory and placement-network resource. We provide editorial guidance, salary-band reference, contract templates, neighborhood analysis, and curated introductions to partner agencies in Shanghai. We are not a licensed staffing agency or an employment-of-record service. Placements run through vetted partner agencies that hold the employment relationship with the candidate.

Engagement

There is no upfront fee for the advisory and editorial portion of our work. If we introduce you to a partner agency that places a candidate with your family, that agency charges its standard placement fee — typically equivalent to one to two months of the candidate's salary, paid on or near the start date.

Information

The content on this site is for general guidance and reflects market conditions as of the date stamped on each page. Salary bands, visa rules, and contract norms change. We update content as we learn, but please verify time-sensitive specifics with your partner agency or counsel before signing.

No employment representation

We do not represent candidates as their employer or recruiter of record. We do not warrant any particular outcome. Our advisory is editorial in nature; final hiring decisions are yours and your partner agency's.

Intellectual property

Site content, templates, and downloadable resources are © ShanghaiNanny unless otherwise noted. The contract template is provided for personal use in your hiring process; please don't republish or resell.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, ShanghaiNanny is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the site or the advisory. Our liability for any direct damages is limited to fees you have paid to us — which for the advisory portion is zero.
